Price:
Costs may include government fees, professional services, due diligence, residency requirements and the proposed contribution. Pricing varies significantly based on the applicant’s circumstances, family composition and contribution structure. A consultation is required before process details or a tailored fee estimate can be provided.
Investment requirements:
Government fees vary per applicant and family. No minimum contribution is published; in practice applicants have committed an exceptional contribution to government-approved projects in the region of EUR €1,000,000. A qualifying lease or property, comprehensive health insurance and six months of documented banking activity are also required, together with full source of wealth and source of funds evidence.
Dependents:
Spouse and dependent children may be included; every applicant must hold a Maltese residence card and attend in person in Malta for biometrics. Separate administrative fees apply per dependant, and a due diligence fee applies from age 12.
Malta Citizenship by Merit is a highly selective and discretionary route for individuals and families who may offer an exceptional contribution to Malta or humanity. Each application is assessed on its individual merits, with no guaranteed eligibility or approval. The process involves residency, due diligence and engagement with the relevant Maltese authorities. A private consultation is required to assess suitability and explain the applicable process.
