Abroad Mobility

Terms and
Conditions

These terms govern the use of abroadmobility.com, our program database, the Global Abroad Mobility Index and every tool published on this site. They explain what we do and, just as importantly, what we do not do: we are an information platform and a back-office partner to professional firms, not a law firm and not a licensed immigration consultancy. Please read them before relying on anything published here.

Effective date: 1 January 2026.

1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of abroadmobility.com and any subdomain, tool, database, form, download or communication channel made available through it (together, the “Site”), and any services described on it (the “Services”).

The Site is operated by Abroad Mobility (“Abroad Mobility”, “we”, “us”, “our”), with its principal office at 5000 Yonge Street, Suite 1901, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M2N 6P6.

By accessing, browsing or using the Site, or by submitting any form on it, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms in full, you must not use the Site.

If you use the Site on behalf of a company, firm or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” means both you and that organisation.

2. Who we are, and what we are not

Abroad Mobility is an information platform and a back-office service provider to professional firms in the global mobility, investment migration and private wealth sectors.

We are not a law firm. We are not a licensed immigration consultancy. We are not a securities dealer, investment adviser, tax adviser or accountant. No member of our team represents themselves as authorised to provide legal, immigration, tax or investment advice through the Site.

What we are. Abroad Mobility is a professionally qualified research and case-support team. Our people include a certified member of the Investment Migration Council, holding its professional certification in investment migration, a licensed Canadian mortgage broker, and a licensed Ontario real estate agent, working alongside our research and case-management specialists. These credentials set the standard of our research, our process design and our administrative support. They do not change the scope of what is offered through the Site: any regulated service (legal or immigration advice and representation, mortgage brokerage, or a real estate transaction) is delivered only by the relevant licensed professional, under a separate engagement, and only in the jurisdiction in which that professional is authorised to act.

Where a matter concerns Canadian immigration, only a member of a Canadian law society, a Quebec notary, a licensed paralegal in Ontario, or an immigration consultant regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants may advise or represent a person for consideration. Where our partner network supports a Canadian matter, that advice and representation is provided by the licensed professional firm, which remains the adviser of record to the client. Abroad Mobility provides administrative, research and case-support functions only.

No professional relationship is created by your use of the Site. Using the Site, submitting a form, using our tools, or corresponding with us does not create a lawyer-client, consultant-client, adviser-client or fiduciary relationship between you and Abroad Mobility.

3. Information on the Site is general information only

All content on the Site, including program pages, country pages, articles, comparison tables, downloadable brochures and tool outputs, is published for general information purposes only.

Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, immigration, tax, accounting, financial or investment advice, and nothing on it should be relied upon as a substitute for advice given by a qualified professional who has reviewed your particular circumstances. You should not take, or refrain from taking, any action on the basis of Site content without obtaining such advice.

This applies equally to news items, market updates, blog posts and any other editorial content we publish on the Site or on our official social media channels.

Such content is regularly based on, quotes, summarises or links to material originating from third parties, including government announcements and official publications, regulators, news agencies and media outlets, industry publications and partner firms. That material is reported for general information only, and responsibility for its accuracy, completeness and currency rests with its original source. We do not independently verify third-party material, do not adopt it as our own statement or advice, and accept no liability for any loss arising from reliance on it. Where a source is identified, consult that source directly, and verify the position with the competent authority or a licensed professional, before acting.

News and social media content speaks only as at the date of publication. It is not updated to reflect later changes in law, policy or program rules, and must not be treated as a current statement of the position.

4. No guarantee of outcome

Decisions on citizenship, residence, visas and permits are made exclusively by the government or competent authority of the country concerned, in the exercise of its own discretion, and are outside our control.

Abroad Mobility does not guarantee, and cannot guarantee, that any application will be approved, that any status will be granted, that any status once granted will be retained, or that any particular result will be achieved. Any fee payable to Abroad Mobility is consideration for services actually performed and is not conditional on, and does not secure, any immigration outcome.

Where we or a partner firm express a view on the likelihood of success, that view is an opinion based on the information available at the time and is not a representation, warranty or promise.

5. Processing times and program information

Any timeframe shown on the Site is an estimate only. Actual processing times vary with, among other things, the completeness and accuracy of documents supplied by the applicant, due diligence outcomes, government workload, policy changes and factors that no adviser can control.

Investment migration programs change frequently. Governments amend qualifying thresholds, suspend routes, add or remove eligible investments and close programs entirely, sometimes with immediate effect and without prior notice. Program information published on the Site, including our database of programs, reflects information we believe to be correct as at the date of publication only, and may be out of date by the time you read it.

You must verify all program details, costs, thresholds and requirements independently, and with the competent authority or a licensed professional, before making any decision or committing any funds.

6. Our proprietary tools, index and database

The Site includes proprietary materials developed by Abroad Mobility, including without limitation:

  • the Global Abroad Mobility Index (GAMI), its methodology, criteria, weightings, scores and visual presentation;
  • the program database and its structured data fields, comparisons and rankings;
  • the Eligibility Engine, the passport check tool and any other interactive tool;
  • all brochures, guides, articles, graphics, page designs and other content.

These tools produce automated filtering and comparison of published program criteria against the parameters you enter. They do not evaluate your personal circumstances, and their output is not a recommendation, an assessment of eligibility, or advice. No automated decision is made about you that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you.

Tool outputs may contain errors, may be based on third-party data, and must not be relied upon without independent professional verification.

7. Third-party information, providers and links

Program data on the Site is compiled from government publications, legal texts, partner firms and other third-party sources. We take reasonable care in compiling it but do not warrant its accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for any purpose.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. Those sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, security or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Where a matter is handled by a partner law firm, licensed immigration consultant, developer, financial institution, escrow agent, due diligence provider or government-approved agent, that party acts in its own right and under its own engagement terms. Abroad Mobility is not responsible for the acts, omissions, advice, fees or solvency of any such third party.

8. Not an offer or solicitation

Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer, solicitation, advice or recommendation regarding any security, investment product, real estate interest or financial service, or an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any of them. Any investment associated with a migration program is made at the sole discretion and risk of the client.

The Site is not directed at, and its content is not intended for distribution to or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such distribution, publication or use would be contrary to law or regulation, or would subject Abroad Mobility to any registration or licensing requirement in that jurisdiction. Persons who access the Site do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.

9. Permitted use of the Site

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Site for your own internal business or personal purposes.

You must not:

  • copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, licence or commercially exploit any part of the Site without our prior written consent;
  • scrape, harvest, crawl or extract data from the Site by automated means, or build any dataset, index, comparison tool or competing product from Site content;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the methodology of GAMI or of any tool on the Site;
  • remove, obscure or alter any proprietary notice;
  • use the Site to transmit unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing material, or any malicious code;
  • interfere with the operation, security or availability of the Site, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it;
  • use the Site in a way that misrepresents your relationship with Abroad Mobility, or that suggests endorsement, partnership or accreditation that has not been agreed in writing.

10. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Site and its content, including the name “Abroad Mobility”, the Abroad Mobility logo, “Global Abroad Mobility Index” and “GAMI”, the program database, the tools, the design, text, graphics, brochures and software, are owned by or licensed to Abroad Mobility and are protected by Canadian and international law.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property right to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

11. Material you submit to us

You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of everything you submit through the Site, including through enquiry forms and partner onboarding forms, and you confirm that you are entitled to provide it, including any personal information relating to another person.

We may refuse, remove or decline to act on any submission at our discretion.

If you send us feedback, suggestions or ideas about the Site or our Services, you agree that we may use them without restriction and without any obligation of confidentiality, attribution or compensation to you.

12. Partner relationships

Any partnership, referral or co-operation arrangement between Abroad Mobility and a professional firm is governed exclusively by a separate written agreement between the parties. Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer of partnership, an agency, joint venture, franchise or employment relationship.

Where a partner firm engages us, the partner firm remains the client-facing adviser of record and remains responsible for its own professional, regulatory and licensing obligations, including compliance with the rules of its regulator regarding referral arrangements and the payment or receipt of referral consideration.

13. Availability and changes to the Site

We may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue all or any part of the Site, any tool, or any content, at any time and without notice. We do not warrant that the Site will be available uninterrupted, error free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site, its content and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty or condition of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, currency, title or non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain warranties. Where such law applies, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Abroad Mobility, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, savings or data, however caused, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such loss;
  • our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Site, the Services and these Terms is limited to the total amount actually paid by you to Abroad Mobility for the service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the event, or CAD 100 if no such amount was paid;
  • we expressly disclaim all liability to any person in respect of the consequences of anything done or omitted to be done wholly or partly in reliance upon the whole or any part of the Site.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Abroad Mobility, its directors, officers, employees, contractors and agents from and against any claim, demand, proceeding, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or connected with: (a) your use of the Site or the Services; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or regulation; (d) your violation of the rights of any third party; or (e) the accuracy or lawfulness of any information you submit to us.

17. Time limit for claims

To the extent permitted by applicable law, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to the Site or the Services must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues, failing which it is permanently barred.

18. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, where we consider that you have breached these Terms or where suspension is necessary to protect the Site, our clients or our partners. Sections 3 to 12 and 14 to 21 survive termination.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site with a revised “last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after publication constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. You should review this page periodically.

20. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter or formation, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

You and Abroad Mobility submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, sitting in Toronto, and waive any objection based on forum or venue. Where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, that right is unaffected.

21. General

Each provision of these Terms operates independently. If any provision, or part of a provision, is held to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, or cannot lawfully be applied to you because of mandatory law in your country of residence, it is to be read down to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable or, where that is not possible, severed. Severance or non-application of a provision in one jurisdiction does not affect that provision in any other jurisdiction, and all remaining provisions of these Terms continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours on notice. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any separate written agreement between us, constitute the entire agreement between you and Abroad Mobility in relation to the Site.
